Crossing the English Channel

So after my fun side vacation in London, I had to make it to Paris in time for my orientation with my French program here last Sunday.  I was not really in any hurry, so I took the absolute cheapest mode of transportation, which ended up being a Eurolines bus for 23 pounds sterling.  It took about 9 hours, but it was really nice to see British and French countryside.  However, by far the best part of the voyage was

CROSSING THE ENGLISH CHANNEL

(separated and capitalized for dramatic effect). We arrived at the Port of Dover, which is known for its beautiful white cliffs that overlook the channel.

So after we got here, I thought we would be going on the Chunnel and I was super excited. Instead our bus boarded a luxurious boat and I spent the next hour and a half with a bunch of way-past-retirement British vacationers.  Also, on the boat I decided I needed to eat fish and chips before leaving France.

And with this, I left England and entered France.

  1. that looks sooo facking good. my mom says she wishes you well and that she's glad you're safe. I probably shouldn't have told her what happened to you cause now she probably won't ever let me leave the country.
